We're two friends who think the world could use more nights spent laughing over a good game - and we built Ludio to make those nights effortless.

## From a college game club to thousands of players

- ### 2011  
  We met as Princeton undergrads and quickly became best friends.

- ### 2014  
  We started a tongue-in-cheek game club called Liars Club - a big group playing Mafia and Liar's Dice every Friday, late into the night. Making friends there was effortless and fun.

- ### 2018  
  We tried to recreate that magic online, playing our favorite games over video with people around the world. It was a blast - but way too much work for hosts. So we started building something better.

- ### 2024  
  We began hosting real game nights on Ludio. 5–20 people showed up to every one, and the community grew into the thousands. Turns out a lot of people were looking for exactly this.

- ### Today  
  Game nights run every day of the week, with themed events and a community of regulars who genuinely look forward to seeing each other. We're just getting started.

## Games first. Friendship follows.

We don't think the answer to a busy, spread-out life is "try harder to make friends". It's to give people something genuinely fun to show up for - and let the rest happen naturally. That's what a great game night has always done.
